Chemical PeelsOkay, Lets start this section with a little education.
This treatment is my personal obsession and has gotten a bad rap due to the name. Chemical Peels are not chemicals. The word Chemical is referring to the fact that it creates a chemical reaction in your skin. The word Peel refers to the sloughing of the skin. It does not mean there will be visible peeling, although with more aggressive peels that is an option. Chemical Peels work wonders on Acneic and Oily Skin. Clearing out and drying out excess oil and dramatically minimizing pores. They are also used for anti-aging purposes. They trigger your body to make collagen as well as minimize fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation and scarring. Chemical Peels come in all different strengths and are derived from many different things. Including but not limited to; Vitamin A, sugar cane, lemons, limes, mulberries, blueberries, blackberries & even milk. Chemical peels from one to the next are very different. They can go from no side effects other than dewy skin to 2 days of downtime. They can be given alone or as a treatment in itself. Although treatments can be done alone as a refresher for your skin. if you are looking for bigger results it is suggested that you do one every 2-3 weeks for a total of 6 to 12 treatments based on the change you want and where your skin starts. Packages are sold to help make this affordable.
